In an official announcement made on May 29, 2023, Saint Charles Borromeo Province is pleased to introduce Reverend Father Horecio Carlos Anklan, cs, as the newly appointed Provincial Superior. His three-year mandate will start on June 28, 2023. The appointment comes with a profound sense of gratitude and admiration for the outgoing Provincial Superior's service and marks a new chapter in the Saint Charles Province's journey.

Father Horecio Carlos Anklan, CS, known for his wealth of experience and exceptional leadership qualities, has been chosen for this significant role. With a term of three years ahead, Father Horecio Carlos Anklan, CS is expected to guide the province towards continued growth and unwavering dedication to the province and the work towards the Migrants.

The appointment was formalized through an official decree issued by the Superior General, which solidifies Father Horecio Carlos Anklan, CS' position as the Provincial Superior.

Expressing deep gratitude for the outgoing Provincial Superior's dedication, loyalty, and commitment over the past three years, Saint Charles Borromeo’s Province acknowledges the achievements made during this period.

The official handover of duties is set to take place at the end of June. With full confidence in Father Horecio Carlos Anklan, CS' leadership abilities, combined with the forthcoming Provincial Council's support, the Province of Saint Charles Borromeo is ready to thrive in the face of upcoming challenges and opportunities. Known for his integrity, compassion, and unwavering faith, Father Horecio Carlos Anklan, CS is expected to navigate the path ahead with great commitment and wisdom.

Together the Province of Saint Charles Borromeo will continue to carry forward the mission set forth by its Founder, Saint John Baptist Scalabrini, whose love and teachings inspire and guide our congregation to this day.

A Little of Fr. Horecio's life

Fr. Anklan was born in Rolandia, Parana, Brazil. He professed his religious first vows on December 28, 1986. He studied Theology in the Philippines and professed his perpetual vows on March 28, 1993. He was ordained to the priesthood on April 19, 1997.

For the past 26 years, Fr. Anklan has served as a Scalabrinian missionary father, having exercised his ministry at the Brazilian Mission Our Lady of Aparecida, in Hollywood, FL (1997-2000 and 2003-2008), Our Lady of Victory, Mt. Vernon, NY (2000-2003), Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, Delray Beach, FL (2008-2014), Resurrection Catholic Church, Winter Garden, FL (2014-2021) and, since 2021, as Pastor of St. Paschal Baylon Church, Thornhill, Ontario, Canada. He also has 12 years of experience as a Provincial Councilor, having been a member of the provincial council from 2002 to 2011 and 2014 to 2020.
